Third Thursdays Blog Hop: Theme - Holiday Debut

Welcome to the 3rd Thursdays Blog Hop!

Our theme for this month is Holiday Debut. Have you seen the new Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog yet? It is so full of products that I want in my collection.  One of my favorites is the Ornamental Envelopes Bundle. Now I have used the Envelope Dies in a couple of my recent posts, here & here. Today I am going to show you another reason that this bundle ( I saved 10% by purchasing the stamp set & dies together) is one of my favorites. I created a new Gift Card Holder, I know I make a lot of these, but they are so useful.

I started by stamping the Ornaments on Whisper White Cardstock twice, one in Real Red and the other in Shaded Spruce. I needed these to be straight so I used my Stamparatus for this. I used the Ornament Die in the Envelope Dies to cut the Real Red Ornaments and the largest Stitched So Sweetly Scalloped Rectangle Die to cut the Shaded Spruce Ornaments. You will notice I kept the Ornaments to the left side. I needed room for the Sentiment Label. Which was also a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set. I chose it because the Font style was real close to the Inside Layer sentiment, which is from the Wrapped In Christmas Stamp Set. This is not my normal Gift Card Holder Style, I am calling this a Fun Flap Gift Card Holder. What do you think about this one? It still meets my needs. Which is that it has to fit an A2 envelope & easy to mail.

I really miss the 3/4" circle punch. I used to use it for the finger hole on the gift card holder flap. But I found an acceptable alternative in the Label Me Lovely Punch. Although with this style of gift card holder I don't think it is necessary.

I hope you liked my project. Now it is time to go and see what Tatiana has created for your look at the Holiday Debut. Just click on the image below.

  6. What an amazing gift card holder! You've just sold me on the Ornamental Envelopes bundle!!! If I didn't know better, it almost looks like you used the small ornament die for under the sentiment... but I'm guessing it was too small?!? Love all the products that you used... they all go so well together. Very striking. Thanks for the inspiration.
