Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop: Favorite Designer Series Paper

Welcome to the July Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop! Our theme for this month is our Favorite Designer Series Paper or DSP for short. I purchased both of my favorites, I had 2, when the new catalog came out. The Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. The 1st one I had to play with was the Bird Ballad DSP. So beautiful! Then I started cutting up the Mosaic Mood SDSP. I think I have used this set more in the last few weeks than my Bird Ballad DSP. But I am sure I will be back to my darling birds before long. LOL! But let me show you what I have made.

The bottom 2 cards used the Mosaic Mood SDSP and the Memorable Mosaic stamp set. I added one of my favorite sentiments from the retired Incredible Like You. I think I have done more fussy cutting with this SDSP than I have ever done before. But I am so pleased with what I have been able to do with all of these lovely images.

This is a Gift Card Holder that I made using the new Stitched Nested Labels Dies, the Itty Bitty Birthdays and the Mosaic Mood SDSP. I think the sentiments that I used for this Gift Card Holder could be used for a Birthday or a Congratulations or Graduation card. So very versatile.

The July 2019 Kre8tors Blog Hop Theme: Floral

Welcome to the July 2019 Kreators Blog Hop! Our theme for this month is Floral. I was looking through my stamp collection trying to find something to fit this challenge and remember the gorgeous DistINKtive Healing Hugs set. Hopefully by now you have at least a few of these wonderful sets. They are photo realistic stamps.

For this card I new I wanted to mask off some of the elements. So I stamped the rose and the leaves onto some 4x4 sticky notes and then cut them out. Tip - If you cut inside of your image just a little bit you will be so much happier with this technique. I also kept a Blender Pen handy to fill in any noticeable gaps (there will be very few with this technique). The card base is Gorgeous Grape Cardstock. The card front is Whisper White Cardstock. The Stitched Shape Square is Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. The little Butterfly comes from the Butterfly Beauty Dies and I used Highland Heather Cardstock and Gorgeous Grape Cardstock to cut this out. The banner is Whisper White and the mat is Gorgeous Grape. The flowers are stamped with Highland Heather Ink, The leaves are stamped with Soft Sea Foam the crosses are stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink and the floral sprig is stamped with Soft Sea Foam Ink. The Sentiment Label is Stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink and cut out with the Classic Label Punch. The 1/4" Gorgeous Grape Mini Striped Ribbon is perfect for this card. Lastly, and I know you can not see it in the photo, I used the Wink of Stella pen on the Highland Heather Butterfly Die Cut before I adhered it to the Gorgeous Grape Die Cut.

Now it is time hop on over to Deb Naylors
blog to see what floral Inspiration she has for you today.

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - In Colors

Welcome to this months GSF Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who love what we do and share what we love. Our theme for this month is all about the new In Colors. These  trendy In Color collections are available for 2 years and include everything you need to create beautiful hand crafted items.

When I shop for new products to play with I let my shopping list be my guide to the new In Colors. This time it was the beautiful Mosaic Mood Designer Suite of products that was 1st on my wish list.  The new In Color used in this suite is Terracotta Tile.  The Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) will have you grabbing your Paper Snips and fussy cutting full pages of this gorgeous paper. The shiny little Hummingbirds are so, so cute. This mosaic tile design and floral imagery with shiny accents made this a must have collection for me. The Terracotta Cardstock made the perfect Card Base for the project I am sharing with you today.

I added a Mat of So Saffron Cardstock and the Card Front is Very Vanilla Cardstock. The Memorable Mosaic Bundle includes the Memorable Mosaic stamp set and the Timeless Label Punch. Do you love punches as much as I do? This Sentiment Label is Stamped with Garden Green on Very Vanilla and then cut with this new punch. I used my Garden Green Stampin' Write Marker to color the edge of the label. The rest of the Card Front is filled with fussy cut images from the DSP. All of them are cut from the edges of the DSP. I popped them all up on dimensionals. I am sure you have seen the many examples of Jennifer McGuires Floating Frame Technique all over Pinterest. Well, I am calling this the Floating Elements Technique, LOL. No, it's probably not original to me. I am sure someone else has done this before. I have to tell you, because you can't get the full effect from the photo, this method creates a stunning card. The Inside Layer is Very Vanilla stamped with a Sentiment from the stamp set included with the Lots of Happy card kit in Garden Green Ink. The last thing I add to the Card Front was a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels that I colored with a Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends Dark Marker.

I hope you enjoyed my project today and will be inspired by our new In Colors to create something of your own with these products. Now it is time to get on with the Hop. Just click on the arrow below and you will be taken to the next blog on the list for some more inspiration.
