Third Thursdays Blog Hop: Halloween/Harvest

Welcome to the Third Thursdays Blog Hop! Our theme for this month is Halloween/ Harvest. I chose to focus on the Harvest side of this challenge. I live in Evergreen Colorado and we are fully into Fall up here. I have shut the water off to my flower bed for the winter. The nights this week have been below freezing.

My card this time uses a couple of stamp sets. Winter Woods and the new Gather Together set. I stamped the Bare Trees with Crumb Cake Ink on a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I created a sort of frame from a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" piece of Merry Merlot Cardstock. I used the second largest Oval die from the Layering Ovals Die Set to cut my frame in the Merry Merlot layer. I then Embossed this piece with the Subtle 3D embossing Folder. My Card Base is 5 1/2"X 8 1/2" piece of Merry Merlot Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4". The Mat is a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Come To Gather Designer Series Paper. Using the 2 largest Oval Dies I cut a 1/8" Oval frame out of the center of my DSP Mat (no one will know). I adhered this to the Merry Merlot layer with my Fine Tip Glue Pen. I cut a couple of leaves out of some Cajun Craze with the wonderful Gathered Leaves Dies ( I misted the cardstock with water and and then cut the leaves out).

I'm not sure that you can see it in the photo but the Merry Merlot layer is popped up on the Trees Layer with Dimensionals. The Inside Layer is Whisper White Cardstock, 3 3/4" x 5". I stamped the Gather Together with Merry Merlot Ink.
My inspiration for this card was provided by Su's card over on Aromas and Art.

Now It's time to take a look at

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop: 3D Project

Welcome to the October Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop! Our theme for this month is 3D Projects. I have been doing quite a lot of Treat Holders lately. And tonight's post will be the same. Only this time I have a Thanksgiving Treat Holder to share. It is a Match Box style. The base is a 6 3/4" x 9 1/4" piece of Pretty Peacock Cardstock that has been scored on the long side at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 6 3/4" &8". Score the short side at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 4 1/4", & 5 1/2".

This photo shows the scored lines in black and where I made the cuts. Fold and burnish on all of the fold lines. Use Tear & Tape to put it together. Add the Tear & Tape to the Front Side of the 4 smallest tabs and to the Back Side of the other tabs.

The Cover is a 4 3/8" x 7 7/8" piece of the Come To Gather DSP. Score the long side at 1 3/4", 3", 4 3/4" and 6". Fold and burnish all of the score lines. Add Tear & Tape along one inside edge. Wrap the cover around the box and adhere in place. Leave it loose enough to slide the cover off.

To decorate the Box Cover I tied a piece of Retired Merry Merlot Ribbon in a knot. Added a couple of Cajun Craze Leaves that were die cut & embossed with the Gathered Leaves Dies. The Berry Sprigs are Merry Merlot. The die I used came from the First Frost Bundle.

I did make a card that coordinates nicely with this but it won't be posted to my blog until later this afternoon  (2pm MT time).

Now it is time to travel on and see what kind of 3D project inspiration is waiting for you. I hope you have enjoyed your time on my blog.

October 2019 Kre8tors Blog Hop: Fall

Welcome to the October 2019 Kre8tors Blog Hop! Our theme for this month is Fall. Wow, what a busy week I have had. I got back from Costa Rica on Sunday the 6th and I feel like I have been running ever since. I actually received the Blog Hop info just before I left on vacation, but I knew I would have to wait until my next order came in to complete my Fall projects for both the Hop and my Fall Workshop I have this weekend. The order came in Tuesday evening and I have been busy, busy since then. I hope you like my take on the Gather Together suite of products. You can find a lot of inspiration  for this suite on Pinterest.
My Card Base is Crumb Cake Cardstock cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". I layered a piece of Come To Gather Designer Series Paper on the Card Base (3 3/4" x 5"). The Card Front Mat is Cajun Craze Cardstock (2 13/16" x 4 1/8"). I used the 5th smallest Stitched Rectangle Die to cut a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock and adhered this to the Cajun Craze Mat. I Stamped the Maple Leaf with Pretty Peacock Ink and the Pumpkins were stamped with Cajun Craze Ink. All of these were die cut with the coordinating Gathered Leaves Dies. I stamped the "Gather Together" sentiment with Merry Merlot Ink. I added some of the Crumb Cake 5/8" ribbon by running some Snail Adhesive down the length of the ribbon and sticking it ti the Layered Card Front. Then wrapped some of the Cajun Craze Linen Thread around that a couple of times and tied a bow. The Card Front is popped up on the Card Base with Dimensionals. I used the Mini Dimensionals to adhere the Maple Leaf and the Pumpkins in place.

I hope you enjoyed your stop at my Blog and will continue on with this Hop by clicking on the next arrow provided below.
