Welcome to the October Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop! Our theme for this month is 3D Projects. I have been doing quite a lot of Treat Holders lately. And tonight's post will be the same. Only this time I have a Thanksgiving Treat Holder to share. It is a Match Box style. The base is a 6 3/4" x 9 1/4" piece of Pretty Peacock Cardstock that has been scored on the long side at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 6 3/4" &8". Score the short side at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 4 1/4", & 5 1/2".
This photo shows the scored lines in black and where I made the cuts. Fold and burnish on all of the fold lines. Use Tear & Tape to put it together. Add the Tear & Tape to the Front Side of the 4 smallest tabs and to the Back Side of the other tabs.
The Cover is a 4 3/8" x 7 7/8" piece of the Come To Gather DSP. Score the long side at 1 3/4", 3", 4 3/4" and 6". Fold and burnish all of the score lines. Add Tear & Tape along one inside edge. Wrap the cover around the box and adhere in place. Leave it loose enough to slide the cover off.
To decorate the Box Cover I tied a piece of Retired Merry Merlot Ribbon in a knot. Added a couple of Cajun Craze Leaves that were die cut & embossed with the Gathered Leaves Dies. The Berry Sprigs are Merry Merlot. The die I used came from the First Frost Bundle.
I did make a card that coordinates nicely with this but it won't be posted to my blog until later this afternoon (2pm MT time).
Now it is time to travel on and see what kind of 3D project inspiration is waiting for you. I hope you have enjoyed your time on my blog.
