The Paper Players: PP399 - A Sketch Challenge

Hello Hello,

Here's hoping your summer is going well. Mine has been so busy. We have been sneaking in a few repairs around the house. My flower garden is beginning to bloom. Today we tackled our front door. I should say the door jam. I painted the door a few days ago, in-between thunderstorms storms. It's monsoon season in Colorado. So the storms do delay things at times.
So today after I cleaned up the trim for the door jam I decided to sneak in a new card. The Paper Players have a new Sketch for us to play with. I love a good sketch, and Sketch #PP399 is a good one.

So I started with Pacific Point Cardstock for the Card Base. The Card Front is Whisper White Cardstock that has been embossed with the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The  Rectangles are from the Garden Impressions 6"x6" Designer Series Paper. Matted onto more Pacific Point Cardstock. The Sentiment Circle is from the Stitched All Around Bundle (I Saved 10% by purchasing the bundle). I used Pacific Point Ink to stamp the Sentiment onto Whisper White Cardstock and then cut it out with the co-ordinating Die. That cute little Stitched Heart is cut with another Die from that bundle. The sentiment on the Inside Layer is from the Lots of Happy Card Kit. I just love that kit too. I finished off the card with a White Baker's Twine bow and some colored Rhinestones.

Freshly Made Sketches #341

Good Morning,

Stampin' Up! has a new distINKtive stamp set that I think you will love. Healing Hugs is going to be my Go To Get Well Set for this year.  I chose the Freshly Made Sketches #341 as a way to share my first card from this set. My card also uses 2 new colors too.
Lovely Lipstick, one of the new In Colors for this year, and Shaded Spruce, a truly beautiful new green that was introduced with the Color ReVamp for this year. Living in Colorado I am so in love with our Blue Spruce Pine Trees. Shaded Spruce is so close to their color. I have also selected a sheet of the new 6 x 6 In Color Designer Series Paper to use for my Card Front.

Card Details:
Stamp Sets and Dies - Healing Hugs Stamp Set, Stitched Labels Framelits.
Card Base - Lovely Lipstick Cardstock - 4 1/4" x 11",

June 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome to the June 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! This month's theme is all about the New Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. I am simply over the moon for so many of the new products in the new annual catalog. I will so enjoy sharing my creations with all of you as I work my way through the next few weeks.

My contribution to this hop is a card I made using a couple of new sets that I know you will want to get your hands on. Animal Outing and Rooted In Nature. The adorable Kangaroo with that sweet baby Koala bear peeking out was just screaming at me to ink it up.

The Card front comes from the Nature's Poem DSP.  The Soft Suede Cardstock Strip has been embossed with the triple leaf embossing die from the Rooted in Nature Bundle. I also chose the triple leaf Stamp and Die from the Rooted in Nature Bundle to accent the Ovals. The Oval behind the Kangaroo is a piece of Wood Textures 6" x 6" DSP (Designer Series Paper) that I embossed with the Pinewood Planks DTIEF (Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder). Then I mounted it onto a Soft Suede Scalloped Oval Mat. Both of the Ovals come from the Layering Ovals Framelits. The Kangaroo is stamped with Soft Suede Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock then I took a blender pen to all of the shaded areas to soften it some more. I fussy cut the Kangaroo out, the coordinating dies are on order but I could not wait to play. The sentiments are stamped with VersaMark Ink onto Soft Suede Cardstock. I used White Stampin' Emboss Powder to heat emboss the sentiments. The Stitched Labels Framelits Die I used fit the words perfectly. I popped up the Ovals, Stitched Labels and the Kangaroo on Dimensionals. I wrapped some Linen Thread around the Card Front and tied a bow. The Sentiment on the Inside Layer is from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set.

The Stamparatus and the Wreath Builder Template

I wanted to find something unusual to demonstrate this wonderful new tool Stampin' Up! has given us. The Stamparatus has become an essential part of my card making. Aside from the fact that I no longer have to deal with slightly crooked sentiments. I'm sure you have seen the Wreath Builder Templates all over the net these days. I thought I would give it a try. I think it turned out pretty good.

To make the Template I cut a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock 5" Square. Then penciled lines from corner to corner to help me find the center. I used the largest Square Die from the Layering Squares Framelits to cut the Squares. I have made a video showing both the Template and the Wreath I stamped with the help of the Stamparatus.

Card Base - Rich Razzleberry Cardstock - 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".
Card Front - Share What You Love DSP - 3 3/4" x 5".
Pool Party Cardstock Layer - 3 1/4" x 4 1/4".
Rich Razzleberry Cardstock Mat - 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Whisper White Design Layer - 2 7/8" x 2 7/8".
Whisper White Scrap for the Sentiment Label.
Inks - Pool Party, Powder Pink, Pear Pizzazz, Berry Burst.
