Paper Craft Crew Challenge - PCC445

 

Welcome to the Paper Craft Crew Challenge Blog!

This week we have a theme challenge, PCC445-Sandy Shores, for you to play with. Living in the

mountains outside of Denver CO, I have nothing in my collection pertaining to sandy shores. That is, if you mean a beach theme. So I have adapted this theme to include lake shores.

My cabin by the lake card uses the Mountain Air Stamp set & the coordinating Majestic Mountain Dies, the Inspiring Canopy Dies (for the grassy hillside), the Peaceful Cabin Bundle & the In Your Words Stamp Set. I started by stamping the mountains in the background. I masked these off with Post It Notes so that I could do the sun & sky with my Blending Brushes. While the mask was still in place I die the lake. I discovered I could erase a little of the color along the grassy shore. I stamped the tree line & tall trees with Pear Pizzazz ink. The cabin is stamped with Basic Gray Ink. I used the Cabin Dies to die cut the cabin and my Snips to fussy cut the cabin along the bottom edge. Then added the grassy hillside. The sentiment was heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Basic Black cardstock. Then die cut with the Messages Die.
