Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the GSF Blog Hop!

Our theme for this month is Thinking Of & Thank You. Many of us in the US will be busy making plans for Thanksgiving. My Son-In-Law is an over the road long haul driver. He won't be home for much of the holidays so we are planning a Thanksgiving dinner this coming Wednesday. I hope that whenever you celebrate the holidays this season that they will be enjoyable. I know that mine will be.

Today I am sharing another card using the Changing Leaves Bundle (You can see the other card HERE). This bundle includes a hybrid embossing folder. You can actually die cut & emboss 3 of the embossed leaves all at once. Well this is so addictive. I took my card design inspiration from one of Julie Gilson's cards. But then took off on a tangent. I took three colors (listed below in the product list) and 3 blending brushes and began adding color in circular motions to a 6" x 6" piece of Basic White Cardstock. I then sprinkled water in small & large droplets all over the colored piece. After that dried I added the die to the embossing folder and ran it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. And then I had beautiful leaves to play with.

I did add some Clear Wink of Stella to the card front and the Leaves. Oh, and I die cut the beautiful Gold Foil leaves from the center of the Gold Foil mat under the embossed deckled rectangle.

I hope you like my take on this month's theme.

Now it is time to see Kimberley's Thinking Of or Thank You inspiration.
