Welcome to the Stamping INKspiration Blog Hop!
This month our theme is CAS (Clean & Simple). I will admit to struggling with this theme. I am what they call an avid stamper. I love my layers. So after searching Pinterest and coming up with nothing I wanted to work with I settled down to watch a live video. Kim McGillis is a paper crafter I admire and follow. She has been doing some daily live videos on facebook lately using Stampin' Up! products. She announced yesterday that she will be on the 2025 Artisan Design Team. Last month she did a video tutorial using the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder and the Peaceful Season Stamp Set. I decided I would CASE the card that she demonstrated. For me, this was as close to Clean & Simple as I was likely to get.
The Peaceful Season Bundle has some really pretty sentiments. Including a Christmas with dies to cut the word out & a background layer. I stamped the Christmas with Pretty Peacock Ink and then die cut it out. The other 2 sentiments were also stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink. After I embossed the card front I used a Small Blending Brush and a little Pretty Peacock Ink to add some color to the embossed trees. Then speckled the card front with a Pretty Peacock Dark Marker. I tied a bow around the card front with some Silver Simply Elegant Trim (retired). I adhered the card front to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a few Iridescent Faceted Gems to give the final touch. The inside layer was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink using the Peaceful Seasons & the Peaceful Evergreens stamp sets.
I hope you like my not so CAS card. Now I need to send you on your way to the next blog hop stop. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.
