This month our theme is Fun-Folds. We were to choose a favorite or a new to me Fun-Fold to share. I chose a new to me Fun-Fold. I first saw this on Susan Campfield's YouTube Channel. She calls this fold a Flying Finch Fun-Fold (the card base looks like a bird flying). I wanted to use the Share A Milkshake Bundle on this project. And I think it turned out really cute. Thank you, Susan!
The card base is Basic White Cardstock.
I decided to stamp the Happy Birthday and the little hearts on the inside of the card base before I added the center panel. I also adhered the Country Gingham Designer Series Paper (DSP) strip and the embossed strip in place. The Happy Birthday comes from a retired set (Oval Occasions). It was a good size for the 1 7/8" strip I was stamping on. The little hearts come from the Share A Milkshake Stamp Set. I stamped the hearts with Sweet Sorbet Ink and the Happy Birthday with Crumb Cake Ink.I stamped the Shake Glass with Crumb Cake Ink. The chocolate ice cream is stamped with Early Espresso Ink. The strawberry ice cream is stamped with Sweet Sorbet Ink (stamped off once). The Cherry And Straw have been stamped with Sweet Sorbet Ink. The sentiment is also stamped with Sweet Sorbet Ink. The sentiment has been die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies and is matted with a strip of Sweet Sorbet Cardstock. The card base front is Basic White Thick. I die cut the Country Gingham DSP card front with my Stitched Rectangles dies and matted this piece on some Sweet sorbet Cardstock. I used the Share A Milkshake Dies to die cut the ice cream, glass, cherry and straw. I did use my Bone Folder to slightly round the glass and the ice cream dis cuts. I doubled up my Stampin' Dimensionals in the curve to support this look. I adhered the die cut mesh piece behind the Milk shake with Mini Glue Dots. Then adhered the assembled milkshake to the Stitched Rectangle card front. I adhered the sentiment in place with Stampin' dimensionals. I colored a few of the Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems with my Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Blends and adhered them to the card front.
I hope you will be inspired to try the Flying Finch Fun-Fold. It was a lot of fun to make. Now it is time to go and see another Fun-Fold on our Blog Hop.
