Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Happy New Year

🎉Happy New Year!🎉

Welcome to the January 2023 GSF Blog Hop!

Our theme for the 1st GSF Blog Hop in the new year is all about NEW. The new Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog and the new Sale-A-Bration Jan-Feb Brochure.

The card I am sharing with you today is from the new Fragrant Flowers Bundle. Now, I used this bundle with the coordinating Sale-A-Bration Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (DSP) on Wednesday for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This time I have heat embossed the large floral image with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Shimmery White Cardstock and used my Water Painters to color the image. I used Fresh Freesia, Rich Razzleberry & Blackberry Bliss Inks on the flowers and Soft Succulent & Evening Evergreen Inks o n the leaves. I die cut the image with the coordinating Fragrant Flowers Die. I popped the image up on a stitched embossed (New Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder) layer. That has been matted with Soft Succulent Cardstock.

My card base is Soft Succulent Cardstock. The card front is Basic White Cardstock. I used the Emboss Resist Technique on the Basic White Cardstock. I heat embossed that large floral image with White Stampin' Emboss Powder all over the Basic White Cardstock. Then I used a large Blending Brush and Polished Pink Ink on top of the heat embossed cardstock. some areas are darker than others and that is fine. I used a paper towel to remove the ink from the embossing. I love the texture this created. I used pieces of this for the envelope and the inside layer too. My sentiment labels are heat embossed on Soft Succulent Cardstock and then die cut. I finished with a few of the new Paster Adhesived-Backed Sequins (I love that these came in 2 sizes, one whole sheet of each size).

Now it is time to see what NEW inspiration is waiting for you on your next blog stop.

  1. I really love the big Hello and Thanks greeting in this stamp set, but I'm not a flower person so I didn't get it. But this is such a pretty card, especially with the white heat embossing in the background. And I love the color combo you used, too. Thanks for sharing :-D
