New at SU! - Gift Tags For The Holidays

Welcome to the December New at SU! Blog Hop!

Our theme for this month is Terrific Tags. I am sharing some Christmas tags that I made using the Celebrate With Tags Bundle which includes the Celebrate With Tags Stamp Set & the coordinating Celebrations Tag Dies. The photo containing 3 tags are also gift card holders. Just untie the bows slip the gift card inside and tie the ribbon on your package for a little extra surprise. I paired these tags with the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP). There are stamps and dies for birthdays and Valentines Day included in this bundle as well. Unfortunately both of these items have sold out. I want to pass on a tip. If you are using DSP for these gift tags, fold gently along the scored lines. I didn’t use a bone folder on these. finger folding in the right direction works just fine. I used Real Red Cardstock for my tags and I carefully  made my folds backwards 1st and then folded them in the right direction. The fold line the die makes are deep and can cause some cardstock to crack. By folding them backwards 1st, if there was any cracking it was on that side and not on the side we want to see. I hope that makes sense. I used the stitched rectangle die from the Merriest Frames Dies to die cut my DSP, I did have to extend the die cut a bit.

Once you click on the photos you should be able to see the directions better.

I made one more tag using one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies on the tag front die cut. I had die cut 2 of the tag fronts to create a shaker tag using the Snowman Magic Bundle (sold out). I wanted to make this tag for my Great Grand Daughter. She is 9 years old and can still have fun with something like this.

I hope you have enjoyed this stop along our blog hop. Now I am sending you on to your next blog stop.

  1. We need an "Open Me" stamp to make sure they find the gift card inside the tags! The shaker tag is also adorable, and could prevent people from opening the gift because they are having fun shaking the tag!
