Third Thursdays Blog Hop - Time Marches On

Welcome to this month's 3rd Thursdays Blog Hop!

Our theme for this month is Time Marches On. The idea of this theme is going to be basically anything about March that you want it to be, or anything about time.

In march I always think about where I wish I could be instead of how much snow I already have and how much more I will be getting this week. Just jonesing for warmer weather. I was telling my hubby I would really like to make another trip to San Diego, CA. We both pretty much grew up there. It is one of my favorite destinations. Plus we still have family there.  Anyway with SoCal Beaches on my mind I have turned to the Seas The Day Bundle & the Seascape Bundle. Both of these Bundles have dies that can be used in the Mini Stamp & Cut Machine. This small but mighty die cutting machine is so nice to work with. And, during the month of March, the Mini Stamp & Cut Machine is on sale, 20% off. The Seascape Bundle that I used in this project is also 20% off.

So, more about my project. The card base is Pacific Point. The card front is Basic White Thick. The card front mat is from the Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper (DSP).The Seahorse is from the Seascape Bundle. the fish & crab are from the Seas The Day Bundle.

I started this project with the large focal die cut from the Sea Dies. I cut 2 of them, one in Basic White Card stock and the other 1 in Basic White Thick Cardstock. I cut the Seaweed and Coral form the Basic White die cut, colored them with Sponge Daubers ( Granny Apple Green for the seaweed & Cinnamon Cider for the coral ). And then adhered them to the Basic White Thick die cut. I adhered the card front to the card front mat with Foam Adhesive Strips. I die cut the Seahorse on Basic White and colored it with Calypso Coral Ink using a Blending Brush.  I adhered the Seahorse to the card front mat. Next came the other seaweed plants. The larger one is die cut on Mint Macaron Cardstock and the smaller ones are die cut on Garden Green Cardstock. The were adhered with dabs of liquid glue on the stems. so that they all looked like they were floating in front of the seahorse. The crab is stamped with Poppy Parade Ink and the fish is stamped with Mango Melody Ink. These were die cut and adhered to the card front. The sentiment is stamped with Pacific Point Ink and die cut with a Tasteful Labels Die. I added someWink of Stella to the Mint Macaron seaweed for a little sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed my project. And now it is time to see what March inspiration waits for you on your next Blog Hop stop.
