Welcome to the June GSF Blog Hop!
Our theme for this month is Outdoors. We have several stamp & die sets that fit that description or that could be used for this theme. Everything from backyard barbecues to bicycling in the outdoors. I have chosen 2 sets that just plain hollered at me to buy them. The Mountain Air Bundle ( you know I live in the mountains so this was a must have) & the By The Dock Bundle ( The Evergreen Lake is one of my favorite places for a walk ). I just had to use the 2 sets together. You can find more examples of this card design on Pinterest. I hope you like my take on this project.
There is a lovely cloud stamp in the Mountain Air stamp set. I used it to create a couple of Post It Note masks. I masked off my cloud areas while I sponge my Whisper White Cardstock with Balmy Blue Ink. I sponged the entire piece with a Sponge Dauber keeping it lighter as I worked my way down. Stamping the Mountains and the Tree Line right over the Balmy Blue. I did use Whisper White Thick Cardstock for the By The Dock Pieces as I was using my Stampin' Blends to color them.

Beautiful card Jan. Reminds me of my favorite views of the mountains here in Colorado.
ReplyDeleteWow, fantastically atmospheric card. I feel like I could just jump into the water. I was so excited when I first saw this stamp set but I've been too intimidated to use it... until now. Thanks for sharing your inspiration x
