Welcome to the March 2020 Kre8tors Blog Hop!
We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world that love what we do and like to share what we love. Wether you have come from Cheryl's Blog or are just starting here on my blog we hope you will find some inspiration from the projects we will share with you this month.
Our theme for this month is a Green Monochromatic Color Challenge.
I also have a Sneak Peek at an early release from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog coming in June. I was very excited to get my hands on this suite of products just in time for this challenge. It was incredibly hard to stay focused on the green theme. You will see what I mean as we roll along here.
Yes, if you joined my team today you could add this suite of products to your starter kit!
I started with Mint Macaron Cardstock. I spritzed it with a little water and then ran it through the Big Shot with the new Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. This turned out pretty great but decided to lightly scrape my Craft White Ink pad over it to make the tiny flowers stand out a little more. I used the Ornate Layers Dies to cut the 2nd largest Ornate Frame on Shaded Spruce Cardstock. Then I used the largest floral stamp from the Ornate Style Cling Stamp Set and Mint Macaron Ink on Whisper White Cardstock to stamp the focal layer. I really wanted to start adding colors here, but I managed to control that impulse. I stamped a strip of Shaded Spruce with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with White Stampin' Emboss Powder, using the "So Grateful" stamp from the new Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. I die cut this with the coordinating stitched die in the Ornate Layers Dies.I also stamped and heat embossed the "you made my day" from this set on Mint Macaron Cardstock. I cut both ends of this 1/2" strip with my Tailored Tag Punch. After I assembled all of this on my card front I used the Gilded Gems to add a little bling to the project. Then I had to remove the Gilded Gems and replaced them with the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I had to keep it green, right. The inside layer has another die cut strip of Shaded Spruce to embellish that layer a little bit. So, a green monochromatic theme can be pretty great, if you can control your need for color using the new Ornate Garden Suite Collection.
Now it is time togo and see what Green Inspiration waits for you on Jacqui's blog.
