Welcome to the April GSF Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who love sharing our projects. We have a Rainbow theme for this month.
Currently Stampin' Up! has 2 butterfly bundles, one of them, the Floating And Fluttering Bundle will retire in May. The other stunning bundle is the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle. I have actually used both of these bundles to create my project. I CASED (copy and selectively edit) this Pop & Flip Card from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.
It is so easy to create your own butterfly DSP with the Floating and Fluttering Stamp set. Which, is what I did. I Stamped with VersaMark Ink on a sheet of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Heat embossed it with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Then Started Watercoloring a "Rainbow" of color around the images. Then I went in and
watercolored the images. I love how this turned out. I almost didn't want to cut it up. The detailed butterflydie cuts are from the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle. The Sentiment on the oval is from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set. The one on the inside comes from the Simply Succulent stamp set. The fonts used in the 2 stamp sets I used are very similar and look good together. The card base, stitched oval, butterfly mats & mechanism pieces are all Coastal Cabana Cardstock. The inside layer and the sentiment oval are Basic White Cardstock.
Now it is time to hop over to Marieke's blog and see what sort of Rainbow inspiration she has created for you. Don't forget to leave a comment. We all love hearing from you.
