3rd Thursdays Blog Hop: Ornate Colors Mix & Match Theme

Welcome to the Third Thursdays Blog Hop!

The theme for this month is "Ornate Colors" - we can mix or match any of the following:

1. Projects/Cards for Encouragement.

2. Projects featuring the retiring InColors.

3. Ornate Garden Suite.

I have chosen to share another Ornate Garden Card. I had a lot of fun coloring the large floral image from the Ornate Style stamp set with my Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. The Card Base is Whisper White Thick Cardstock. The Card Front is regular Whisper White Cardstock. The embossed die cut is Terracotta Tile Cardstock. I gently scraped my White Craft Ink Pad over the raised area on the this piece to highlight the little flowers.

Then I die cut a piece of So Saffron Cardstock for the next layer. Both of these dies come from the Ornate Layers Dies. I adhered both die cuts and the colored floral image to the Card Front with Liquid Glue. Next I heat embossed the "Thanks" form the Ornate Thanks stamp set withWhite Stampin' Emboss Powder on a strip of Old Olive Cardstock. I cut both ends with my Tailored Tag Punch to create the banner and popped it up on the Card Front with Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly added a bow and some gems to embellish the card, both of which are part of the Ornate Garden Suite. The Sentiment on the Inside Layer is also from the Ornate Thanks stamp set and is stamped with Old Olive Ink on Whisper White Cardstock.

I hope you like my Ornate Garden Color inspiration. Next up on the blog hop today is Anne Marie. Just click on the Next button below.

  1. So pretty and cheerful! I wish I liked flowers more, but I was afraid I wouldn't use them so I only got the Ornate Thanks stamp set. There are about a billion ways to say thanks with that set, aren't there?? Thanks for sharing your sweet card :-D
