Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Decembers Theme Is Foil & Glimmer

Welcome to the December GSF Blog Hop! I hope your Thanksgiving was as lovely as mine was. It was our turn to host. So we had a total of 7 people for dinner that night. My husband usually volunteers to do our holiday meals. This year he was not in the mood for turkey so he decided to just do steaks & seafood. I am his problem child. I haven't been able to eat beef or pork for about 25 years. So I exist on poultry & seafood. I think I miss prime rib the most. Heavy sigh!

Our theme for this month's hop is Foil & Glimmer. This means our project should contain things made with Foil Sheets or Glimmer Sheets. I went with both. I used the Stampin' Up Silver Foil Sheets & the Sparkle Glimmer Paper.

I knew I wanted to use the beautiful filigree skate die in the Detailed Skate Dies. I cut a Silver Foil Filigree Skate. I cut 2 of the bows from Night of Navy Cardstock. I cut the 2 long ties and used them to lace up the skate and then added the other bow with a Mini Glue Dot. I chose to frame it with the Frosted Frames Dies. I cut the large frame in the Sparkle Glimmer Paper. I used the Fancy Stitched Rectangle die to cut the center out of the large frame. This allowed more of the gorgeous Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper to show through. The Card Base is Night of Navy Cardstock.
I decided to let the Card Front stand on its own and just added my sentiment on the Inside Layer. My final touch was the Silver Foil Bow.

You can click on either or both photos and catch a glimpse of the Sparkle and Shine. The Seaside Spray Snowflakes have a coating of Shimmer Crystal Effects on them and before they dried I added the Ice Stampin' Glitter.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my take on the Foil & Glimmer theme. Now it is time to wander over to your next stop along the blog hop. That would be Libby Dyson's Blog. Enjoy!
