Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop: Trees and Wood

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop. Our theme for this month is Trees and Wood. I am getting myself in the mood for the new 2019 Holiday Catalog. As a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! I am able to order products from the new catalog a full month ahead of the Go Live Date, which is September 4, 2019. So I have chosen to show you a card I have made with the Winter Woods Stamp Set and the coordinating In The Woods Dies. I have also used the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.

I started with a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock that I embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder. I made this into a large fishtail banner by cutting up the center about 1/2" and then cutting both sides up to that point. I lightly added some Crumb Cake Ink with a Sponge Dauber to the raised portions of the banner to add some depth. I cut a couple of the Leaf Sprigs using the die from the In The Woods Dies on Shaded Spruce Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock and then stamped the little Pinecones with Crumb Cake ink, stamping off once, all over the sentiment area. I used the Timeless Label Punch to cut the sentiment out and then cut 2 more from Soft Suede Cardstock. I made a mat for the Sentiment Label by cutting the 2 Soft Suede Labels in half, one was cut lengthwise and the other was cut crosswise. I used Liquid Glue to adhere the Sentiment Label to the Soft Suede Label pieces. I popped the assembled Label up on the Banner with Mini Dimensionals. Then I adhered the Leaf Sprigs under the Label with a little Liquid Glue. I tied a bow with a double strand of Linen Thread and added this to the bottom of the Label with a Mini Glue Dot. The Card Base is Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock,  I stamped the Pinecones around the edge with Crumb Cake Ink. I also stamped a strip for the Inside Layer too.

I hope you have enjoyed my take on this month's theme and I know you will want to continue on through the hop to see what other Trees and Wood inspiration can be found along the way. Your next stop is Kimberley's, just click on the arrow below and you will be on your way.
