2019 Kre8tors Blog Hop: Theme - Dads & Grads

Welcome to this month's Kre8tors Blog Hop! This month's theme is Dad's & Grad's. Since my Hubby's birthday falls on Father's Day this year I chose Dad's to celebrate. I thought about using the Rooted in Nature set which has some really beautiful trees in it. But then I remembered the Memorable Mosaic stamp set that has that gorgeous willow tree in it.

I started by stamping the Tree Trunk with Soft Suede Ink on a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. The detail this stamp creates with one single impression is amazing. Anyway, I stamped the leaves with Garden Green and Mint Macaron. I did not re-ink the stamp each time. I re-inked after the 2nd stamp, moving to the right or left a little to make a fuller tree. After I finished the Tree I used one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut the image out. I did make the rectangle a little smaller. I adhered this to a Soft Suede mat. I stamped the Mosaic Star with Soft Suede then used the 3/4" Circle Punch (Retired) to cut it out. After Wrapping some Linen Thread around the Stitched Rectangle a couple of times I pulled the center to the left and stuck a Mini Glue dot on it to hold it then added the Mosaic Star with a couple of Mini Dimensionals. Then I grabbed the "For You, Dad" stamp from the Best Catch stamp set and stamped it onto a Crumb Cake strip with Soft Suede Ink. I cut this out with the Smallest of the 4 Stitched Rectangles which, by the way, I have given them names, A B C & D. Smallest to Largest. I digress, I matted the Stitched Sentiment with Mint Macaron and Adhered them to the Card Front with Liquid Glue I did add a Dimensional to the right side for support.

The Card Base is Very Vanilla Thick. The 1st mat is Soft Suede, the 2nd is Mint Macaron. The Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP) has  one design with a bunch of mosaic strips. As you can see in the photo I have cut 2 of them to use on this card. So Beautiful! The Strip I used on the matted Card Base is about 1 1/16" wide and 5" long.  I adhered it to the Mint Macaron layer with Liquid Glue about an 1" down from the top. I popped up the completed Stitched Rectangle Card Front onto the completed Card Base with Dimensionals.

The Inside layer is Very Vanilla with a strip of the SDSP across the bottom. I stamped the Sentiment Label with Soft Suede Ink onto Very Vanilla and cut it out with the Timeless Label Punch. I am going to give this card to my daughter to give to her dad.

I hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog and will come back often. Now I am sending you to Alexandra's blog to see what she has chosen to share with you today.
