Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop: Card Sets

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who Love what we do and Share what we love. This Month's theme is Card Sets.

Well, yesterday morning I went through my card stash and found the card set I had planned on using for this Hop. It is from one of my all time favorite sets, Petal Palette. But, when I looked at the cards I decided there were too many retired items involved.😬🤪😳 Sooo... I had to think quick, that doesn't always work well for me, and come up with a new card set. 😜
I hope you like my solution.

I used the All is Bright Designer Series Paper and the Making Christmas Bright stamp set. Stamped the "friends make the season bright" with Shaded Spruce Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock( four times). I die cut them out with the Stitched Shapes Square Framelits, (the third smallest) making it into a rectangle.I did that by cutting most of the square, stopping before the end of it and then moving the die down to complete the rectangle. Then I matted all four of the cards onto Call Me Clover Cardstock the I cut with a Scalloped Layering Squares Framelit, again making it into a rectangle. Three out of the four cards use a " Cut and turn it over" technique on the Card Fronts. By this I mean after you have cut the Card Front from your double sided Designer Series Paper to size you then cut it again and turn one of the pieces over and but it up against the other piece to create a two piece Card Front. I chose the cute Christmas light bulb paper for this technique. I'm really pleased with how they turned out.
