Welcome to the Stamping INKspirations August 2025 Blog Hop!
We are a group of Paper Crafters who love to share what we create in our blog hop each month. This month we are all playing with the Spotlight Technique. I admit this is the 1st time I have ever used this technique. Here's hoping I did it right.
I started by Stamping the large floral image on Basic White Cardstock. I did this twice, knowing I was going to be coloring only one of them. I used Tuxedo Black Ink for the outline image. Then starting with Bubble Bath Ink, a Small Blending Brush & the 1st Layers Of Beauty Decorative Mask I lightly added the Bubble Bath Ink. For the 2nd mask I added Petunia Pop Ink. The 3rd mask is Berry Burst Ink. For the leaves and this time it is the 4th mask I used Old Olive Ink. For the 5th and final mask I added Mossy Meadow Ink.
I cut both images down to 4" x 5 1/4". I decided my spotlight was going to be the largest floral image. I used the smallest Meant To Bee hexagon Die to die cut that rose. The border is Petunia Pop Cardstock. The card base is also Petunia Pop Cardstock. the card front is the black and white image. The card front mat is From the 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper (DSP). The sentiment is from the Artistic Leaves Stamp Set. While I don't have a photo right now of how I used the left overs from the colored image, I used the left overs on the inside layer and the envelope flap.
I hope you like my take on the Spotlight Technique.
Now I will send you on to your next hop stop.
