Welcome to the February GSF Blog Hop!
Our theme for this month is Stamp Free. We are in the middle of Stampin' Ups! Sale-A-Bration. For every $60 or $120 purchase you can select a free item. On Tuesday the 4th new Sale-A-Bration items were added to the selection. So if you have something on your wish list now is the time to purchase it. I knew I wanted the Alphabet A La Mode Dies (free with a $60 purchase) so I put in an order for a new Botanical Textures Suite Collection that won't go live until March 4th.
I have combined the Terrific Toadstools Bundle with the FREE Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper (DSP) to create this card. I used a retired circle die to create a little scene with the stamp set. I love how the stamps are just a little bit larger than the punch. This allows for a no white border around the punched image. The sky is Balmy Blue applied with a Large Blending Brush, the grassy hill has been stamped with Granny Apple Green ink and then fussy cut with my scissors. I adhered the hill to the circle with Liquid Glue (only on the bottom). This will allow me to slip the toad stool stem under the top edge of the hill. The toad stool caps have been stamped with Melon Mambo & Poppy Parade Inks. The stems have been stamped with Granite Gray Ink ( the larger stem has been stamped off to create a lighter color). The large toad stool has been adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals on the cap and Liquid Glue on the bottom of the stem. The smaller toad stool has been adhered with Liquid Glue. I have adhered the completed toad stool circle to a Melon Mambo Spotlight On Nature circle die cut with Liquid Glue.
The card base is Melon Mambo Cardstock. The card front is from the Toad Stool Garden DSP. The card front has been matted on a layer of Granny Apple Green Cardstock. I adhered the completed circle to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiments have been stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I then die cut the sentiment with the Stylish Shapes Stitched small banner die. I matted the sentiment on a Granny Apple Green rectangle. I stamped the greenery branch 3 times with Granny Apple Green Ink on a scrap of Basic White Cardstock. I used my scissors to fussy cut the branches out. I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Dimensionals and a Mini Glue Dot. The branches were adhered with dots of Liquid Glue and tucked in above and below the sentiment. I have adhered a little bow using the Iridescent 1/2" Striped Trim. I also added a few Iridescent Faceted Gems.
The Terrific Toadstools Stamp Set combined with the Toadstool Gardens DSP is so much fun. The colors are bright and cheerful. I am sure you will enjoy creating with these products.
Now I will send you on to Kimberley's blog to see what FREE product she will share with us today.
