Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - Sounds Of The Season

 

Welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop!

For December our theme was Sounds Of The Season. This is always a fun theme for me. Last weekend my grand daughter in-law, Alyssa, held a piano recital for her students. I really enjoy seeing her students growth in their piano playing. Plus I get to hear Alyssa and her mother play too. Then yesterday I was able to attend my Great Grand Daughter Ariana's HSC winter performance. She is in the choir and she also had a part in a skit that she and some of the other students were in. So my holiday spirit has been supercharged. I hope your holiday season is going well. 

For my Sounds Of The Season project I chose the Decorative Trees Bundle & the Season Of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP). I have also used the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder & the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. My card  design is a mash up of 2 fun fold cards. Laura Seki's Diamond Fold Back Card & Tami White's Inside Out Flip Card. I CASEd both of these cards. My card base is Tami's Inside Out Flip Card base and the overall card design is the Diamond Fold Back Card. I loved the combination of the 2 cards when I finished it.

 

For the title of the song, O Christmas Tree, I stamped it with Mossy Meadow Ink. Then fussy cut the title with my Paper Snips. I also added some Whisper White Ink to the Painted Trees embossed layers by lightly scraping the ink pad across the trees. Then speckled these layers with Whisper White & Wink Of Stella. I took my photos before adding the Gold Textured Adhesive-Backed Dots. My thinking that it would just be too busy, and the whole card was pretty busy already. But it all worked out nicely.
