Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - Color Challenge

Welcome to the July Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop!

Our theme for this month is a Color Challenge, Christmas in July. TWO color palettes to choose from depending on your preference of the holiday... cold weather or warm weather.

As you can see, I chose the cold weather option.

There are 2 wonderful project samples in the new Jul-Dec 2022 Mini Catalog (pg 28) using the Christmas
Barn Bundle. I CASEd the barn project. I used the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) for the card front. I stamped the barn with Basic Black (retired) Ink. The barn has been watercolored with Real Red Ink on a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I die cut the barn with the coordinating Barn Dies. I used some Snowfall Accents Puff Paint on the foreground. After I heat set the snow I set the barn to the side. The scene background is Basic White Cardstock. Using a Blending Brush I added some Balmy Blue Ink to the top of this layer. I lightly penciled a line about 7/8" up from the bottom of this layer. I dry fit the barn on this layer and penciled a line around the barn too. I stamped 3 Trees with Evening Evergreen Ink on this layer. I die cut the Soft Suede fence and cut it in half and adhered the fences with dots of Liquid Glue on my penciled line. I stamped another tree and then die cut it out. I also used Evening Evergreen Ink to stamp the wreath and then die cut it out too. I adhered the barn & tree to the background with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment with Soft Succulent on Basic White Cardstock and then die cut the sentiment. Using a scrap of Evening Evergreen Cardstock I fussy cut a mat for the sentiment. Then it was adhered to the barn foreground with Stampin' Dimensionals. I colored the bow on the wreath with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. Then adhered the wreath to the barn with a couple of glue dots. I die cut some of the starson Basic White and adhered them with /dots of Liquid Glue. I colored the stars with a Clear Wink of Stella Brush. The completed scene has been popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals on the DSP card front. The inside layer sentiment has been stamped with Soft Succulent Ink and the tree is Evening Evergreen ink.

I hope you liked my Christmas in July project. Now I'm going to send you over to Karen's Blog to see which colors she will use for this challenge. Just click on the graphic below.
