Our theme for this months hop is Wood Grain. The Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and Mini Catalogue have a selection of wood grain products - designer series paper, embossing folders & stamps. We are to use one or many of them together to create a project.
I have 2 wood grain projects to share with you today. Both of them use the Classic Cloche Bundle & the Scalloped Contours Dies.
The Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper has an amazing Silver Metallic Wood Grain sheet of paper. I die cut a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle to frame the Village image in this cloche. This is a Two Step stamp set. I stamped the outline image with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder. Really the village has Three stamps to complete the image you see here. I used Pool Party to stamp the Sky, Doors & Windows. The Houses were stamped with Soft Succulent. I used Real Red to add a pop of color to this card. I heat embossed the sentiment with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and added a 3/8" Real Red Sheer Ribbon bow to the top of the Cloche.
The second card has a Wood Grain background layer to add texture to this card. I took a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Sahara Sand Cardstock and embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Then scraped my Sahara Sand Ink Pad lightly over the entire surface to add some depth to the layer. I love how it looks behind the gorgeous Tidings Of Christmas Designer Series Paper. I didn't have any Cherry Cobbler Ribbon to go with my Cherry Cobbler sentiment so I colored a piece of Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend Marker. It matches perfectly with my sentiment now.
I was totally amazed at how perfectly each of these stamps lined up with each other. I did use my Stamparatus for these images. Mostly because I stamped 14 of each of these. I've made some darling Ornaments with this bundle. But that will wait for another Post.
