February 2020 Kre8tors Blog Hop: Love or Romance

Welcome to the 2020 Kre8tors Blog Hop. February's theme is Love or Romance. I used a few products to create my projects. The Heartfelt Bundle, the Heart To Heart stamp set and even some Paper Pumpkin stamps. SoI made 2 cards and a bath bomb box.

I fell in love with the flowers and leaves in the Heart To Heart stamp set and knew that I wanted to make my own DSP for these projects. The colors I chose were Flirty Flamingo and Shaded Spruce.

I started with a 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" Piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped the flowers and leaf sprigs all over this piece. Then I cut it down to 4" x 51/4". I adhered this to a Flirty Flamingo Card Base. I took a 3" x 4 1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock and Die cut it with the largest So Sweetly Stitched Rectangle. I had already stamped a few of the smaller scalloped hearts in Flirty Flamingo Ink and used my Scan N Cut to cut them out. I stamped the "for you with love" with the stamps from my most recent Paper Pumpkin kit with Flirty Flamingo Ink. I stamped the large Scalloped Heart at the same time and then used the the Heart Punches from the Heartfelt Bundle to Punch them out. I hand colored the Silver Edged Ribbon with a Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin! Blend Marker. I Tied it in a bow around the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle. I popped up the Large Heart on the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Mat with Dimensionals and then tucked in the Small Scalloped Hearts with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The Sentiment on the Inside Layer is from the Heart To Heart stamp set. Of course I added a flower and leaf sprig to that layer too. The Completed Heart Mat is popped up as well.

The I Adore You Card is pretty much the same except I used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies for the Heart Mat Layer. I first embossed the 2 5/8" x 4 3/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and then die cut the Stitched Nested label (2nd largest). The "I Adore You" sentiment is from last years Valentine's Paper Pumpkin kit. The Sentiment on the Inside Layer is from the Heart To Heart stamp set.

the Bath Bomb Box was inspired/cased from one done by Julie Gilson. I started with a 7 1/2" x 7 1/2"(the Box Bottom) & a 2 5/8" x 11"( this will be cut into 2 3/8" squares) pieces of Whisper White Cardstock. These were Stamped 1st on the outside and then on the Inside of the 7 1/2" Square, just in the corners. The inside was stamped with leaf sprigs only. I scored the Box Bottom at 2 1/2" on all sides. Fold and Burnish with a Bone folder. Using a Ruler score the corners on the Inside.

Fold and Burnish the corner folds. I cut away the corners to create the "exploding" look to the box. Adhere the 2 3/8" squares to the inside of the box on all 4 sides. The Bath Bomb holder is a piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock, 2 3/8" X 6 5/8". Score at 5/8", 1 1/4", 3 5/8", 4 1/4". Cut a 1 3/4" hole in the area between the1 1/4" score line and the 3 5/8" score line. I used Tear & Tape to assemble the holder and Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the holder to the Box Bottom. The lid is Flirty Flamingo cut at  4 5/8" x 4 5/8". Scored at 1" all the way around. Fold and burnish all the scored lines. Cut into the fold line on 2 sides. angle cut the small tabs to reduce bulk. Adhere the small tabs to the lid sides with Liquid Glue or Tear & Tape. The box top is decorated with Stitched Scalloped Square of Whisper White Cardstock and a 2 1/4" square stamped with flowers and leaf sprigs. I purchased the Bath Bombs at the Dollar Tree.

I hope you like my my take on this months theme. Now it is time to hop on over to Susan's Blog and see what Love/Romance inspiration she has for You.
