Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop: Plaid Theme

Welcome to the GSF October Blog Hop! Our theme for this month is Plaid. I of course took this to mean the gorgeous new Stampin' Up! Wrapped In Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper and the coordinating Pine Tree Punch. I have used this suite of products quite a lot lately. This time I decided to use the Tags Tags Tags bundle with the Wrapped In Plaid SDSP.

This bundle allows you to create Tags for 3 different holidays. Halloween, Christmas and Valentines Day. You can stamp 3 different tags at once and then die cut the tags all at once. Pretty darn clever.

But I am using the Season's Greetings Stamp & Die on a Christmas card & a Treat Holder.

I started with a Gold Foil Stitched Nested Label. Then I layered a Cherry Cobbler Label (I used a Die from the Ornate Frames Die set) on top of that. The Season's Greeting Tag is stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink and then die cut with the coordinating Trio of tags Die. I covered the hole with a Cherry Cobbler Rhinestone and added another one at the bottom of the tag. The card has a Shaded Spruce Base, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". The Card Front Mat is Cherry Cobbler, 3 3/4" x 5" that I embossed with the Winter Knit 3D Embossing folder. The Card Front is from the Wrapped In Plaid SDSP, 3 1/4" x 4 1/2". the Inside Layer is Whisper White Cardstock, 3 3/4" x 5". I stamped a sentiment from Merry Christmas To All with Shaded Spruce Ink.

The little Treat Holder is 3 1/4" long, 1 1/2" wide, and 1 1/4" deep. It will hold 2 fun size Kit Kat bars or 2 Biscoff Belgium cookie pkgs.  Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, 6 3/4" x 8 1/4". Score the Short side at 1 1/4", 2 3/4",4", 5 1/2". Score the Long side at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 5 3/4",7". Fold and burnish all scored lines. Trim according to the photo below. I did round the corners on the Box Flap ( not shown here).

This box is based on The Paper Pixie's box. I just adjusted it to fit my needs.

The Belly Band is a 2" x 6" piece of Wrapped In Plaid SDSP.Scored at 1', 2 1/4" turn it around and score from the other end at 7/8" and 2 1/8". Fold this gently around the box and glue in place loosely to allow the band to slide off.

The Tag and labels are the same size as the one on the card above.

I hope you have enjoyed my Plaid take on our theme this month and I know you will want to continue on to the next blog on our list.
