Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop: Treat Holders!

Welcome to the October Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop. Our theme for this month's Hop is Treat Holders. What a fun hop this will be. I was inspired by Kimberley's post last week. I love the Wonderfully Wicked Bundle. I have used the stamps and the cute little Spider Die to complement my Treat Holders. And I did a Mini Curvy Keepsake Box using this set as well. But the star of my Treat Holders has to be the Boo To You stamp set. These little monsters just make me smile. With their Googly Eyes and brightly colored images, they are just too stinkin' cute. You will also see images from the Spooktacular Bash and the little Bats are from the Every Season Punch Pack. I love mixing different items together to make a project work for me.

All of the monsters are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock. I have colored them with my Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. I have given all of these guys some of the Stampin' Up! Googly Eyes. So Cute! The Open If You Dare Labels are from the Spooktacular Bash stamp set and are die cut with the coordinating Ornate Frame Dies. The Spiderweb stamp is from Wonderfully Wicked and the Spider is from the coordinating Wicked Dies. The cute little Bats and the Spider are cut from our Black Foil Sheets. The Tag Toppers are 2 1/2" x 5 3/4", Crumb Cake Cardstock and scored at 2 7/8". The Nugget trays are 1 7/8" x 5", scored at 1/4" on both of the 5" sides. I rounded the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch. The center Treat Holder has a Pumpkin Pie Tray and the Hershey's nuggets are covered with 1" x 3" strips of the Monster Bash DSP. The other two Treat holders have Crumb Cake Trays with some Retired DSP on the nuggets (These are going to a Craft Show later this month).

The Mini Curvy Keepsake Box has been die cut and then stamped with the Wonderfully Wicked stamp set on Basic Gray Cardstock. I Stamped the Spiderwebs 1st and then came back in on the front sides and stamped the Spider with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with the Shimmer Black Stampin' Emboss Powder. The Tag is die cut with one of the coordinating Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies. There are 5 Tag Dies to chose from in this set. I stamped the Tag with the Boo To You stamp from the Boo To You stamp set. Make sure you use the Bone Folder to curl all of the Box sides.

I add a couple of Black Foil Bats to the other side of the Box. The bottom photo shows you how I stamped each side. I did mask off the square with a post it note just for a cleaner look.

  1. I could kick myself for forgetting to order those Googly Eyes. There's still time, though!!! Hey, did you fussy cut all those little monsters, or do you have one of those nifty eCutters that will scan and cut for you?? They look fantastic! Thanks for sharing :-D
