June 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome to the June 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! This month's theme is all about the New Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. I am simply over the moon for so many of the new products in the new annual catalog. I will so enjoy sharing my creations with all of you as I work my way through the next few weeks.

My contribution to this hop is a card I made using a couple of new sets that I know you will want to get your hands on. Animal Outing and Rooted In Nature. The adorable Kangaroo with that sweet baby Koala bear peeking out was just screaming at me to ink it up.

The Card front comes from the Nature's Poem DSP.  The Soft Suede Cardstock Strip has been embossed with the triple leaf embossing die from the Rooted in Nature Bundle. I also chose the triple leaf Stamp and Die from the Rooted in Nature Bundle to accent the Ovals. The Oval behind the Kangaroo is a piece of Wood Textures 6" x 6" DSP (Designer Series Paper) that I embossed with the Pinewood Planks DTIEF (Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder). Then I mounted it onto a Soft Suede Scalloped Oval Mat. Both of the Ovals come from the Layering Ovals Framelits. The Kangaroo is stamped with Soft Suede Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock then I took a blender pen to all of the shaded areas to soften it some more. I fussy cut the Kangaroo out, the coordinating dies are on order but I could not wait to play. The sentiments are stamped with VersaMark Ink onto Soft Suede Cardstock. I used White Stampin' Emboss Powder to heat emboss the sentiments. The Stitched Labels Framelits Die I used fit the words perfectly. I popped up the Ovals, Stitched Labels and the Kangaroo on Dimensionals. I wrapped some Linen Thread around the Card Front and tied a bow. The Sentiment on the Inside Layer is from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set.
