Trees For Sale & Tree Lot Dies

Tree Lot Pop Up Card

I have been obsessed with the hexagon pop up platform cards for about a week now. After watching Marcie Besecker's video I went looking for other videos on this type of pop up card. Most of the videos used platform dies or SVG files for electronic cutters. Then I found Kathy's Random Acts of Stamping video. She shared a video tutorial for a hexagon pop up platform card without using a die. I used her measurements to create the platform base. I added a scalloped edge to the skirt using the Penned Flowers Dies. I also used the Horizon Dies (retired) for the top of the snowy inserts. Then the really fun part was creating the tree lot scene using the Trees For Sale Stamp Set and the Sale-A-Bration Tree Lot Dies (sold out). I took my color scheme from the Sale-A-Bration Rings of Love Designer Series Paper which I used for the outside trim on the skirt. The sentiment comes from the Decorated With Happiness Stamp Set and is stamped in Real Red Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I used the Stitched Rectangles dies to die cut the sentiment. The little holly leaves are from the Snowman Magic Stamp set and are stamped with Mint Macron ink. I added Real Red Pearlized Effects to the berries.
