Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop: Garden Inspiration

Welcome to the February GSF Blog Hop!

This months theme is about Garden Inspiration. Every spring I impatiently wait for the ground to thaw so that I can get outside and into my flower bed. I love flowers. Living in the mountains of Colorado, our spring & summers start late and end early. I can't even think about planting anything until after the beginning of June. So my flower bed is planted with perennial flowers. I am able to watch my flowers grow and enjoy them all season long, short as it is. My favorites are Delphiniums & Daisies.

I suppose that is why I gravitate towards just about any floral stamps sets and their dies. And then there is the gorgeous paper that Stampin' Up! does like nobody else.

We are in the middle of our, what I like to call our spring Sale-A-Bration period. This year Stampin' Up! has started something new. The Sale-A-Bration period has been split into 2, the 1st began on January 5th and will end on February 28th. The second will begin in July and end in August.

Today I want to share 2 of my favorite Sale-A-Bration products. The Field Of Flowers Designer Series Paper & the Approaching Perfection Cling Stamp Set. Both of these FREE items are Level 1 (Free with a $50 purchase items) Products.

The top right card was CASED, with Rachel's consent, from this post. I did change it up a bit to fit my other purpose in creating these cards, but you can find out about that a little later on in this post. So by now you know how often I use the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Like, a whole lot. The largest Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die was used for the sentiment mat (Misty Moonlight Cardstock). The Flower and Leaf Sprigs are from the Beautiful Brushstrokes Dies and is a wonderfully  coordinated with this Designer Series Paper (DSP).

For the card on the left my card front is again from the Flower & Field DSP. This time I used some of the Pierced Blooms Dies to die cut some flowers, leaf sprigs and the sentiment label to decorate this lovely paper with.

For the last card I fussy cut some of the little orange and yellow flowers from the Flower &
Field DSP to decorate the Stitched So Sweetly die cuts and added them to another Flower & Field card front.

I had originally designed these cards to send to my Paper Pumpkin customers, who will still receive them with the sentiment labels blank and awaiting the February Paper Pumpkin kit. And they will receive some all ready cut card fronts from the Flower & Field DSP that will coordinate with this kit.

Now it is time to find out what Garden Inspiration waits for you on your next stop on our GSF Blog Hop.
