Good Morning,
The Paper Players Blog has a fun challenge this week. #PP311 - A Circles Theme, sounds like ornaments to me. Just an excuse to create another Ornament card with the Merriest Wishes stamp set and dies. This time I went with more traditional colors.
The card base is Real Red Cardstock.
Card Front is Whisper White Cardstock that has been embossed with the Pine Bough Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used a sponge dauber to lightly color the raised areas in Garden Green Ink. The background has been stamped with a snow stamp from the Holly Jolly Greetings set in Soft Sky.
The Reindeer Ornament is a combination of 2 dies from the Merry Tags Framelits Dies. It is the cutest tag. I cut the front piece in Whisper White. Stamped the sentiment in Real Red Ink. Used a dauber to color the reindeer in Crumb Cake. I added a nose and eye with a Crumb Cake Marker too. I also cut another front piece in Garden Green Cardstock and hand cut the trees to layer on top of the white trees on the tag. The tiny gold star is a by product of another die in the Merry Tags set. The back piece was cut from Whisper White and stamped with the snow stamp in the Merriest Wishes stamp set in Soft Sky Ink. I glued the 2 pieces together and added a bow made with Gold Metallic Thread. I added some Dimensionals to the back to pop it up on the card.
The other 2 ornaments are stamped first in Real Red Ink on Whisper White Cardstock and then cut with the Dies in the Merry Tags Framelits set. They also have Gold Metallic Thread bows and are popped up on the card with Dimensionals.
The Merry Christmas is stamped in Real Red Ink and cut out with a die from the Bunch of Banners Framelits. This one die will cut the banner and the frame at the same time. So I cut another one in Real Red Cardstock and put the 2 together. So Cool. The sentiment comes from the Flurry Of Wishes set. I also used another sentiment from that set for the inside of the card.
The final touch was a little bling in the form of some Gold Sequins.
The very first card I made (small picture here) with this set has been saved more than 1,000 times on Pinterest. Pretty amazing. You can purchase everything you need for these cards from me by clicking on the Holiday Catalog link at the right. I will be including these cards in my up coming Christmas Card Workshops for sure.
