Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - Christmas In July

Welcome to the Stamping INKspirtions Blog Hop!

This month we are celebrating Christmas In July with a color challenge.

We were given 3 Photos with color swatches underneath, in this case they are supposed to be Soft Sea Foam, Mossy Meadow, Real Red, Crumb Cake & Pecan Pie. I felt the Mossy Meadow was a little too dark for the project I was working on so I used Garden Green instead. My 1st card is a Triple Diamond Pop Out Z Fold. I pretty much cased Tami White & Susan Campfield's cards when I made this one.

My card bases are Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. the card fronts are Garden Green Cardstock embossed with the Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder. The triple diamond card uses just the embossing folder. The wreath card was embossed with the die inserted in the folder.

For the triple diamond card I matted the embossed layers onto Pecan Pie Two-Toned Cardstock. The diamonds  are Die cut using the Stylish Shapes Square Dies on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. I layered some Nests Of Winter Designer Series Paper (DSP) onto a Pecan Pie Two-Toned Cardstock. I used a Sponge Dauber and Garden Green Ink to add some Color to the edges of the DSP. The bells have been stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Basic Beige Cardstock. I used a Clear wink Of Stella Pen and some Crumb Cake Ink to color the body of the bells. the Real Red Stampin' Blends for the ribbon, the sound bow & the clapper.

The sentiment strips are Basic Beige Cardstock stamped with Real Red Ink. These strips have bee adhered to a strip of DSP and a matting layer of Pecan Pie Two-Toned Cardstock. The assembled sentiments and the bells have been popped up on the diamonds with Stampin' Dimensionals. The inside layer diamond has the joy die cut, stamped with Real Red Ink on Basic Beige Cardstock. I die cut 3 of these and layered them up to add some dimension. The holly & berries have been stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on Basic Beige and colored with Stampin' Blends ( Soft Sea Foam & real Red). I added a few Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries to the finished card.

For this second card you get to see how clever this die cuts the embossed image. I had cut my cardstock at 3 3/4" x 5" and placed it in the folder at the top. so when it was cut & embossed it placed my label area to the left of my card front. There is only one area where the stitched & matted rectangles will fit. I had stamped ten of the leafy sprigs with Garden Green Ink on Basic Beige. I used a Blender Pen to pull some of the color into the leaves. Once I had die cut all of the sprigs Adhered them into a wreath shape. I adhered this wreath to the Basic Beige Stitched Rectangle with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I heat embossed the sentiment with white Wow Basic Embossing Powder not a strip of Real Red Cardstock. I also fussy cut the Red Cardinal Sticker from the Reindeer Memories Scrapbooking Kit.

I adhered the cardinal to the wreath with a Mini Glue Dot. then I adhered the sentiment strip to the rectangle with double stacked Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I matted the assembled rectangle to the Real Red Stitched Rectangle. Meanwhile sometime earlier I had adhered the Jolly Holly card front to the card base with Dots of Liquid Glue, being careful not to get glue onto any of the leaves I wanted to pop out (Tip - You can add half a Mini Dimensional behind your popped out holly leaves to make sure they stay popped out). I carefully inserted my completed Rectangles then adhered them in place with Mini Glue Dots. To finish this card I added some of the triple Cherry Cobbler Adhesive-Backed Berries to the larger holly clusters.

I hope you have enjoyed my Christmas In July projects. Now it is time to see the INKspiration awaiting you on your next blog stop.
