Third Thursdays Blog Hop: Golden Rule

Welcome to the September 3rd Thursdays Blog Hop!

Well this is September and in many states school is in session. Whether you are in a in person or some call it Face to Face or if you are doing Zoom or online classes, we all need to show some Teacher appreciation. So or theme for this month is Golden Rule. I broke out my Harvest Hello stamp set and the Apple Builder punch, along with the Toile Tidings Designer Series paper and decided to make a Gift Card Holder for my Great Grand Daughters teacher. You could give this gift card holder anytime you needed to say thank you to the teacher. And there were so many times I said thank you this way to my children's teachers.

I stamped the apple and the apple slice directly onto the red checked DSP with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Using the same ink I stamped the leaves on Garden Green Cardstock and another apple slice onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. The stem is Crumb Cake Cardstock. I punched out the checkered apple the leaves and the stem with the Apple Builder Punch. The apple slices were fussy cut with my Paper Snips and pieced together. I used my Stampin' Blends to color the apple slice. I stamped the sentiment onto some Very Vanilla Cardstock then die cut it out with the largest Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I adhered this to a Garden Green Mat and then adhered the apples with some Stampin' Dimensionals. The stem and leaves were adhered with Liquid Glue.

On the inside layer I added a Toile Tidings DSP strip on the right side and stamped the To & From with Tuxedo Black Ink. The Gift Card Flap has a Toile Tidings DSP layer and a Sentiment Label of Very Vanilla. The Thank You comes from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set. On the Gift Card Front is a Toile Tidings DSP layer too. I adhered the completed Stitched Scalloped Rectangle to the Gift Card Holder Front with Liquid Glue.

I die cut the Envelope Flap cover with the Envelope Dies and adhered it to the flap with Stampin' Seal Adhesive.

I hope you like my my take on this month's theme. Now it is time to take a look at the next Golden Rule Inspiration waiting for you on your next hop stop.

  1. I don't have that apple stamp set and punch, or I definitely would have used them! And I was seriously thinking of doing one of your gift card holder cards, so we would have had twin designs again...lol! Very sweet project, I love those stripes and plaids in that Toile Tidings paper, too. Thanks for sharing :-D

  3. Lovely Card, this paper is one of my favorites! So glad we can still craft with it. Super cute idea to use it with the apples, and love the gift card holder for the inside. I may just CASE this idea for my stamping friends.
